  2. These are all from Wikimedia Commons, and are in the public domain as works of the U.S. federal government (fedral govmint, out here)

    Rosie the Riveter is an icon now, and so is Uncle Sam, but I wasn't aware of others like them.
    I was intrigued by a Farm Security Administration poster at our local museum, the "Homegrown Food" piece from Part 1. I started searching Google Image, Wikimedia, etc. and found tons of wacky propaganda from all over the world.

    I remember the Soviet style of poster from history class, but didn't know that the US did similar media stuff. Some of it that I saw was work/production related, and some were about demonizing the enemy, and the rest were other "home front" issues.
